NSD is a premier organization in competitive debate education, serving students and parents across the United States. Through their existing platform, they offer free tournament calendars, debater rankings, and performance statistics, attracting approximately 700 unique monthly visitors during debate season.
While the organization was already recognized within the debating community, its tournament discovery experience resembled a well-organized spreadsheet with basic filters. The Tournament Shopping Cart lacked personalization, cost transparency, and parent-focused decision support.
As the platform gained traction, our client recognized the need to transform this spreadsheet-like interface into a dynamic, user-friendly, and data-driven web application that would help families make informed decisions about tournament participation and significantly increase user engagement.
